About Me

Hey! I’m Kimberly.

Business Owner | Coach | Fitness Professional

I help people remove pain from their lives so they can see what’s possible again.

I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Kimberly, lover of sunshine, waves and snuggles with my pups. I am also passionate about helping people get unstuck.

Whether you’re experiencing daily pain that keeps you from doing the things you love, or you’re feeling stuck and like your health isn’t where you want it to be - I’m here to help. I take a 360 degree view of you and we work to get you moving with less pain so you can do the things you love and build the habits for an abundant life.

My Story

I had chronic knee pain for years in high school and college as a multi-sport athlete. I believed for years that this pain was just something I had to deal with. When I hit the point where enough was enough I found a fitness coach and within weeks my pain was completely resolved. That set me on a path to learning the same methodology that my coach used. Shortly after I started working with my coach, I suffered a season ending injury, a complete ACL tear.

Thankfully I felt very confident and supported that I had my surgeon, my physical therapist, AND my coach who were all on the same team working to support me and return me to the activities I loved doing.

I was lucky.

For many people, that’s not the case. After a major injury or chronic pain they are told to find a new passion or something lower impact. There is another way. You don’t have to accept adapting your life to meet your pain. I care deeply about my clients having the agency and choice to decide how to live their lives, not dictated by pain.

Enter Kimberly Knipe Coaching

I created this business to help people in pain who are ready for change create a life they love through habits, movement, and empathy.

Prior to starting on this journey, I worked in collegiate strength and conditioning for 7 years and have 10 years of experience as a personal trainer working one-on-one with clients to help them meet their goals. I am a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), member of the Strength Coach Network, and member of the Active Life Professional Coaching community.

When I’m not coaching, I can be found basking in the sunshine with my three loves: Harley Quinn (puppy), Latch (puppy), and Alice (human). I’m an avid paddle boarder and swimmer and can be found splashing around any of the amazing lakes and rivers Atlanta has to offer. It’s all about balance, right?

WHAT I’M ALL ABOUT

Listen Up

Everything starts with you and understanding what you care about, what you need, where you feel pain, and what you hope for.
Understanding must ALWAYS precede advice.

True Love

If we aren’t the perfect fit and if I’m not 100% confident that I am the right person to help you, I will not sell you my services. In fact, if I can’t help you, I will go out of my way to find you a professional who can help. I care about my people and I want you to succeed, whether that’s with me or with another professional.

Just Keep Swimming

Practice makes habit. If you are committed to changing your current state, then it will require us to dive deep into all of your daily habits that impact your overall health. Consistency is key. One day at a time. Just keep swimming.

Big Picture, Baby

It’s all about the big picture. You are more than an athlete. I am more than a coach. I take a holistic approach to coaching you. I consider nutrition, sleep, stress, relationships - it’s all connected to the big picture of your overall health.

Trust the Process

This is a journey and progress takes time. We celebrate all wins, big and small, and find joy and confidence in the journey, not just the outcomes. We focus on what’s within our control and the outcomes take care of themselves. Give it time to work. Control what’s controllable.

Filter the Noise

There is a lot of noise in the health & wellness industry. Every time you pull up Instagram you’ll see someone claiming they’ve got the magic solution to all your problems. How can you possibly know where to start? We give you all of the clarity you need to reach your goals, and leave the overwhelm at the door.

The Devil is in the Details

There is no black and white. No movement is either good or bad, it’s either in service of your goal, or taking you further away from it. We embrace the grey area and seek nuance. Often the answer is, “it depends.”

Because...

There is No One Like You

You are the only YOU, and your program and coaching should reflect that. There is no one size fits all. Your program will be 100% custom to your unique situation, your background, experience, health history and movement limitations.

“Kimberly is purely AMAZING! I first got the pleasure of experiencing her coaching when I joined rugby in college, and she was the main reason I got hooked! From there, she was my personal trainer in college, not only tailoring my workouts to my goals but also helping me in my specific sport. And now a few years after college, I have joined her remote programming. Although the training is not in person, Kimberly is still able to provide full support - through the customized workouts, video analysis, comments/feedback on each workout, and her ability to answer any questions or make any adjustments you might need! She also specializes in athlete rehab - I hurt both my shoulder and my wrist with rugby and after months of ignoring it, she has helped me build up strength in both areas and I no longer get neck pain on flights. Kimberly is a perfect motivator, supporter, and hype woman for whatever your fitness needs are - I highly recommend!”

Common Questions

+ I’m not sure what type of program I need. Is this right for me?

Your best bet is to start with a 15 minute intro call so I can get a feel for where you are currently and what program might be best. Once I learn about your fitness goals, I can create a program that meets you where you are... no judgements, ever. Every program is 100% customized to each individual, including the type of equipment you have access to. Whether you are slinging soup cans during the pandemic, lifting weights in a big box gym, or looking for a personalized in-person experience - I will craft the perfect program to take you where you want to be!

+ Can I sign up if I have an injury or movement limitations?

Absolutely! One of my specialties is working with athletes to get out of pain - whether from surgery, injury or something else. With my experience rehabilitating individuals after knee surgeries, hip replacements, back injuries and other challenges, I'll help you reach your goals. Your program will be tailored to your limitations, doctor recommendations, or any other key parameters for movement.

+ Do I have to pay extra for the TrueCoach app?

Access to TrueCoach is included in your monthly package and the app offers tons of great features that will help you make the most of your journey.

+ What style of programming is offered?

Your programming is 100% custom to you, your needs, and your preferences. I have experience with a range of modalities from functional fitness, to strength training, to breathwork. Your programming will be carefully selected to ensure it’s what’s needed to move you toward your goals. It should also be fun, right? If you hate a certain movement, we can work around that. There are many paths to Rome, and I believe in making sure you get exactly what you need to meet your goals and enjoy the journey along the way.

+ What do you mean by mindset and resilience?

I have found that often times the things holding us back from achieving our fitness goals is between our ears. Whether you are struggling with consistency, or maybe know you can push harder but can’t seem to get there, I will help you identify what’s holding you back. I will work with you to identify where you may be getting stuck and how to move through those challenges to get you closer to your goals. Your mental fitness is as important as your physical fitness to your performance goals.
